I never wanted kids. I knew they were a massive responsibility and they just didn't seem like a necessity for my happiness. It's ironic that I was a school teacher who loved teaching fourth graders!
But I got married, and within DAYS felt the desire to become a mom. I think God had to place that yearning into my heart. And after that, I was obsessed with begging my husband for a baby.
I was gifted with the title of MOM in 2004 and became a baby-making machine! In 2005 we had baby #2. And after two miscarriages, we had twin babies #3 and #4 in 2008.
Mommin' ain't easy. You know this all too well. There are days when we are depleted with nothing left to give. You know, the ones where we sling Cheerios at them and let the TV babysit. There are days when we manage to take kids to the zoo, grocery shop, cook, throw a birthday party, clean the house, fold laundry, and quilt a baby blanket.
But do you ever pause to think about your FAVORITE parts of motherhood? You know, the really specific aspects that just bring you a wave of joy?
I sat down and listed some of my favorites. But I need your help adding to the list. So be sure to tell us what else to include, okay?
